"The kids in our program didn’t get to have a say about the type of life that they would be put into. What is the Justice in that? I believe, the TTC (Treehouse Tutoring Corp) brings justice by being the bridge that provides a safe place for these kids. It is only fair that there be some sort of agency to help them and to me that is the work that I am doing." Seattle University tutors share their experience working with Treehouse youth. Last week we had an event celebrating and honoring foster youth who are aging-out. It's an annual event called Passages. At the event youth "taking flight" wrote some of their dreams and hopes on paper airplanes. Here are a few of my favorites: "To be an artist", "I want to buy my Mom a house", "I hope for my family to be happy", "I see myself with my PhD", "I dream to make a wonderful family"

Our Wearhouse is in need of bathing suits of all shapes and sizes. Our Little Wishes program could really use gift cards to local sports stores so kids can get equipment that fits them just right. Why not pick up an extra while you are out enjoying the weekend?
